What Analog Is

A place to spend an hour, or an evening, without needing a reason.

Analog is a third-place phone-free room where people come to read, write, listen to music, or have a thoughtful conversation with other like-minded people.

Read. Have a drink. Meet a friend. Listen to a record. Come alone. Stay awhile.

Phones stay at the front. The pace is unhurried. Nothing is expected of you while you’re here. The notifications, the noise, and the distractions are are left behind.

Where is it located?

Analog Room is located above Cisco's Restaurant in East Austin, just minutes from downtown.

Do I really have to lock my phone?
Yes. That’s the agreement. If you need to be reachable, this might not be the right day or time to come in.

Is there talking?
There is a designated silent room for those who wish for complete silence. Another room is designed for enjoying music with our vinyl record players. Other areas in the Analog Reading Room are low voice. The culture remains calm in all spaces in the Analog Reading Room.

Is this a café?
No. However, simple complimentary and for-purchase small bites and beverages are available.
